  Watching my mom tirelessly care for dad after he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer was both sad and inspiring. Having friends who, on a daily basis, experience the trials and triumphs of loving, teaching, or raising a child who is "different" has touched my heart innumerable times. Knowing that a friend is ill or facing a difficult time has compelled me to find creative ways of providing a physical representation of support, encouragement, and visions of better times.
